About Danny's Dawgs

I grew up in the Chicagoland area. As a kid, I remember my parents taking me to the Chicago Cubs games at Wrigley Field as a kid. One of the first things I remember was the smell. Wrigley Field had a smell, and I didn’t know what it was. All I knew is I loved it. My dad explained, it was a Chicago hot dog and we had to get them before we sat to watch the game. I had already had hot dogs before and didn’t think it was a big deal, but that smell was intoxicating, and I had to have it. Dad showed me we had to put our own toppings on them. We loaded up the mustard, onions, neon green relish and walked to our seats. As we walked out from under the tunnel to the field it was the greatest thing I ever saw. Wrigley Field in all its vibrant colors. We found our seats and I am taking it all in. I knew at that moment I would always love the Chicago Cubs and then I take a bite of this hot dog. It wasn’t a normal hot dog. It had a snap when I bit into it and the taste was beyond words for me at the time. It was the best hot dog I had ever tasted, and I ate at least three of them during the game. That day the Cubs were playing the Chicago White Sox for the Windy City Classic, I don’t remember if the Cubs won. What I do remember is everything else about that day, the taste, smell, feel and love that I now have for Wrigley Field and the Chicago hot dog.

Because of that day I have always wanted to share my love with others and try to recreate that feeling for them. With Danny’s Dawgs my goal is to give them at least a taste of my love and hope they too can feel the same. I want everyone to see why Chicago has the best hot dogs. And another only Chicago classic, The Italian Beef Sandwich. There is nothing like it with the sliced Italian beef, giardiniera peppers, or sweet peppers, but better with both types of peppers, awesome roll, for added love, mozzarella on top but go over the top, do the combo: Italian beef and fennel Italian sausage with all the toppings. Now that is Chicago. I have teamed up with Vienna Beef and their all-beef brand to recreate the true Chicago food experience.
